Our story

Built from a real family's very ordinary 6pm question.

The product began in Berlin, where a demanding working week kept turning dinner into a string of expensive, last-minute decisions.

Meet Sarah

A Head of Commercial, a mother of two—and the person still being asked what was for dinner.

Sarah's working day at a large fintech was full of decisions. By evening, even thinking about food felt like one decision too many.

Meals became ad hoc: an expensive stop at the supermarket, too little variety, or another delivery. Meanwhile, the family wanted to budget properly, eat more home-cooked food and give their older child a genuine part in choosing the week.

At Our Table grew from that necessity. Not to produce a perfect meal plan, but to give the family one calm place to decide together—then keep the shopping, portions, preferences and spending connected.

What we believe

Food planning is family infrastructure.

The mental load should be visible

A shared plan gives the week somewhere to live outside one person's head.

Children can participate safely

Their own preferences and meals can matter without exposing adult settings or spending.

Budgets need real information

Confirmed receipts make the grocery target concrete instead of aspirational.

Useful beats perfect

A flexible meal the family cooks is better than an ideal plan nobody follows.

Dinner can be the easy part

Give next week a calmer place to begin.
